How to choose an RO water purifier for your home

RO, UV and UF – what each stage does
- RO removes dissolved salts, hardness and heavy metals – the only stage that lowers TDS.
- UV kills bacteria and viruses in the stored water.
- UF is an extra physical barrier for bacteria and fine particles.
- Copper / zinc / alkaline stages add minerals back and improve taste after RO.
Steel tank, plastic tank or under-sink?
Steel tank models keep water hygienic for longer and suit families who want a premium build. Wall-mounted plastic models are the most affordable. Under-sink purifiers keep the counter free and dispense through a separate tap.
